Terms of Service

By accessing or using Broadside, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the Broadside Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Broadside is a writing and publishing tool that lets users create content, upload media, manage team workspaces, connect social media accounts, and publish posts to third-party platforms including LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Threads, Instagram, Mastodon, GitHub, and Pinterest. Broadside reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or any feature at any time.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Broadside. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify Broadside promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You may use Broadside only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use Broadside to transmit spam, unsolicited messages, or content that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Upload or distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Broadside's systems or other users' accounts.
• Use Broadside to harass, abuse, or harm any person or group.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Broadside without authorization.
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize access to Broadside in ways not expressly permitted.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.

Broadside reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

You retain ownership of the content you create in Broadside. By using Broadside to publish content to third-party platforms, you grant Broadside the limited right to transmit that content to the platforms you select, solely as directed by you.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the rights to any content you submit through Broadside and that your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

Broadside and its logos, product names, and software are owned by Rowhome Labs. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use any Broadside trademark, logo, or brand feature.

When you connect LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Threads, Instagram, Mastodon, GitHub, Pinterest, or any other third-party platform, you are also subject to those platforms' own terms of service and policies. Broadside is not responsible for the actions of third-party platforms, including changes to their APIs, policies, or availability. You are responsible for ensuring your use of those platforms through Broadside complies with their requirements.

Broadside may offer paid plans or features. If you subscribe to a paid plan, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Broadside will describe pricing and billing terms at the point of purchase. Broadside reserves the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Fees paid are generally non-refundable except as required by law or as otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

Broadside is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Broadside does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of the service is at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rowhome Labs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Broadside, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the extent permitted by law, Rowhome Labs' total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid to Broadside in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rowhome Labs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of Broadside, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

You may stop using Broadside and delete your account at any time through the product settings.

Broadside may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for any reason, including if Broadside believes you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use Broadside ceases. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

Broadside may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, Broadside may provide notice through the service or by other appropriate means. The effective date above reflects when the Terms were last updated. Continued use of Broadside after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
